We started our final day in Florida at 0800. Both of us showered swiftly and packed up everything. Luckily, we were able to fit it all in one luggage bag and one carry on. We checked out at 1000 and got breakfast at @ The Diner. It was an alright breakfast. I got a breakfast sandwich while Ky got chicken and gravy 😂. After breakfast, we had roughly two hours to kill before needing to turn in our rental car so we headed back to the same escape room place as we did the other day and did the Under Pressure one. It’s about a submarine that lost power and only has 60 minutes of air on board…we had to restore power and air to the sub before we ran out. We escaped in 58 minutes and only needed one hint on this room! This was probably one of the better escape rooms we’ve done and it was a lot of fun! We also performed much better than the Star Trek one the other day! From there, we headed off to the airport to dump off the rental car by 14:00. We made it through the decently long security line and boarded our flight around 16:00. I bumped our tickets up to first class for the way home and it was worth it. The plane had an awesome stats screen that anyone could pull up to watch! We even had a nice dinner on the plane. The plane was delayed by 15 minutes taking off….we didn’t get back to MSP until around 19:31. By the time we got our bags and stuff it was about 20:10ish before we hit the road for home and got back to Shell Lake around 22:15. It’s been such a great week and so relaxing. I have come home to a huge stack of insurance and disability paperwork in the mail. I decided I’ll wait until tomorrow to read all of it in case it’s bad news. Goodnight all and thanks for following along with us on our trip. From here on out, I’ll probably keep the blog updated at least once a month with medical updates so everyone knows what’s going on with me. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart to all who pitched in for this much needed trip. I guess I didn’t even realize how much I truly needed it until I got to Orlando and started relaxing. The memories made will last a life time.
