Duluth Update 3

Last night didn’t go well. Been in EXTREME pain since midnight. They fucked around and it took an hour to get some pain meds in me which made the problem worse. Anyway, I’m really fucking hurting, bad. Worst pain to date but my ostomy bag filled once fully, and just a little bit after 0300 it filled again so I think the obstruction is moving through me. Just talked to surgery. They think I’m MORE distended in the abdomen than yesterday morning when they checked on me and I will probably need to be here for SEVERAL more days. FML.

They’re giving me steroids to try and help clear the blockage and more pain meds.

This afternoon, they ordered XRays of my chest and stomach to check for perferations and to review any abnormalities. The X-ray looked fine so they did another CT scan and found my bowel has perferated and I need emergency surgery for it or wait and see if it gets better. I have been feeling better today so I chose to wait just a little bit longer to see if it’ll magically heal itself up. It’s doubtful. Surgery is scheduled for around noon tomorrow to find the perferated bowel and fix it. They don’t know where it’s it’s at in the CT scan.

So yeah. Emergency surgery tomorrow and I’ll be up here for several days for recovery followed by having LARGE scare leftover. Because of this, chemo will have to be placed on hold for several weeks as well. Not the news I want. I’m pretty upset but am so thankful Kyley is with me up here today to help me calm down. This is going to financially wreck me. Sucks that life saving stuff always costs the most.I ‘m putting the phone down for a while now, no offense to anyone…I just need the alone time.
