Haven’t posted a full update in a few days and as you can see from last update I posted, I end up posting too quickly after sounding like an idiot. Yes, I’m in St. Mary’s Duluth yet. Things CAN and WILL change, but as of right now:

I was basically told on Tuesday night but the surgery doctor that I’ve been given less than a month now to live. Could be more, could be less. That number always seems to be changing and chasing me around but hasn’t been this close before. Like I said, surgery went well but that is the last one they can possibly do on me. They straightened away and cut as much bowel as they could but there’s areas where they couldn’t cut because it was all TUMOR.

Kyley and my Mom have my death wishes and semi funeral plans of what I’d like done and who’d I like to attend as well.

Other than that, I’m doing pretty good. Maybe I’ll get to be able to get transferred to Spooner or something soon which would be amazing!

  1. It’s so hard to say anything, because we all feel such an emptiness knowing what is the end point. I can only speak, from my point of view, but I know the fire guys are better now than when that punk kid joined 14 years ago. I’ll keep my PR400 alive in your memory.

  2. Thank you Tucker for all the assistance you gave me over the years in the “COMM” world. You and your contributions could never be forgotten. Prayers. Carol

  3. Tucker, what’s left to say? You have been a good friend to many of us. A protector to your community. Your contributions have been greatly appreciated. We would not be where we are now without you pushing us to be better. All I can say is thank you! Check in on us once and awhile. God’s peace!!

  4. Wishing you nothing but the best Tucker! I truly enjoyed working with you and you helping me get my sign offs for COMT and COML. I hope you’re able to be transferred closer to home.

  5. Thinking and Praying for you Tucker. I hope that you will be be able to be transferred closer to home. I still think of our college days fondly.

  6. My heart breaks for you and your family on this difficult journey. I contine to pray for your miracle and healing. The realist in me, even with strong faith, is a struggle at times but I know all things are possible by and through Him. May comfort be yours, know your hearts are being carried. If His way of healing means going home, save a place for us. Tucker, the short time I have known you has meant alot in our radio and dispatch world. You have made a difference by your example, skill, and tenacity. Blessings, young man.

  7. T: we have only worked together for a few years and, even then, at a distance of a couple hundred miles. I walk with you and family in prayer on your journey. Know that your work in interoperable comms, search and rescue and exercise design have changed lives. You did that! I wish you peace and please know that the citizens of our state are better prepared because of your skill. I am a better person knowing and working with you.

  8. Tucker, your an amazing young man. I have seen you grown, personally and professionally!! So proud how far you have come… my thoughts are with you and your family!!! Stay strong and ride high!

  9. Life is too short to have regrets, but one of the few I carry is having lost touch with you after our time at SASD. You made it fun to show up day after day, thank you for putting up with an old low tech guy like me.
