Day two of relaxation continues! I’m still just awestruck that we are down here because of good people. I CANNOT stop smiling. Everyone back home, you are so amazing.
We started out the morning by going to breakfast at First Watch. The place had an awesome breakfast selection and I settled on french toast and a cheese omelet. The best part was the caramel iced coffee they had there! Ky got a mint mocha one that was equally delicious! From there we stopped by a 7-11 for slushies and some scratchies! We spent $6 and Ky won $6 on hers… McCumber luck continues for me winning…nothing! After scratchies, we headed to the Crumbl Cookie that is nearby to get some of their amazing cookies for an afternoon snack! Kyley even got her little cookie cutter she’s been wanting! Once we got back, we headed downstairs right away to the pool and spent three or four hours down there. The water temp is PERFECT! The Florida afternoon thunderstorms were non-existent today which was great! For those that know me, I burn quicker than, as Ice Cube would say, a match and a little bit of gasoline. After putting sunscreen on everywhere, I neglected my ears and they are crisp now!
For the evening, we settled on dinner at Miller’s Ale House. I ended up having a pulled pork sandwich and Ky had Teriyaki Steak & Potsticker Skewers. While at breakfast, we found an escape room across the street from where we were eating. We stopped in to check availability and found they had a Star Trek escape room. As a trekie, I about broke down and cried when Ky showed me the room. We pretty much instantly booked it for the evening. We escaped in 54:33 which is a little slow for us but the room was really advanced with technology! Definitely one of the best escape rooms we’ve done in terms of technology (there weren’t even any “manual locks”). If you ask Ky though, I “slowed us down” and my brain “went numb” during the escape room. I attribute this to being overwhelmed with the room 😉
